Back in November of 2008, my best friend was trolling around on Craig’s list and came across an ad for a local Adult Video Store that was looking for night help. The listing said to apply in person, so we decided that the following day, he’d drive me down to the shop and see if I could fill out an application.
I overdressed.
With heels and fishnets and my slinkiest office attire I walked through the saloon style doors the next evening and sauntered up to the counter, asking for the manager…just just so happened to be the man behind the counter that I was speaking to.
(Hindsight…very ironic that this would be the case. My manager is very rarely actually behind the counter).
We introduced ourselves as he shook my hand and cleared off a part of the counter for me to fill out the application.
We talked a bit about my day job as an Accountant while I was adding the details of my work history onto the paper…Why I was looking for a second job? Did I understand that the store only sold pornography? Any kids? Married?
All sorts of questions that wouldn’t necessarily be appropriate were this not a porn shop.
I was hired the next day.
The manager liked me because I was well spoken and able to walk around the store with all the vaginas and dicks all over the place without blushing.
My coworkers at the shop have become the only people, other then my boyfriend, that I spend time with in real life. They’ve become my family.
With my schedule being packed tighter as a virgin’s butt hole, finding the time to take on the new responsibilities that my AlphaHarlot persona has made available proves to be a bit difficult.
So I made a decision a few months ago…and on Sunday night I actually got the balls to act on it.
I quit my job at the porn shop.
While I am extremely appreciative of the knowledge and friendship that I have gained, it’s time for me to move onto other things…namely expanding on the catalogue of Amateur Pornography that I have created over the years and working on my writing….that’s honestly where I would like all of this to lead…Something that has to do with me getting compensation for doing what comes more naturally to me then anything else…stringing words together into thoughts.
I’d like to have time in my schedule to take a class or two and actually learn how to use the fancy editing software that I’ve got…
And due to a thread that began last week in the Xtube Forum…I’ve also been contemplating doing cam shows again.
Cam shows were always my favorite thing to do because it’s the easiest way to actually have a personal interaction with my pervy fans. Getting to know them while they get to know me…it’s all very fulfilling to me.
Within the next few weeks I’m going to be creating an Amateur Account on Xtube along with a few other sites and try to begin again (I did this in my early 20’s but stopped because I had a bitter, jealous, dick bag ex) a bit of an online income for myself.
For those of you that have been followers of my free content on my Xtube profile…fear not.
I will still continue posting free content.
I am still the Working Man’s Porn Star.
There will just be other places where my content is also available and any of you who feel the inclination to pay for that content will not be disappointed.
